Trade-In Program

Our trade-in program is now OPEN!

We’re happy to accept your gently-used books for trade-in credit, which can be put towards other used books in the store. We’re especially interested in the following:

  • Classics

  • Literary fiction

  • Sci-fi and Fantasy

  • Horror

  • Science & Nature

  • Philosophy

  • Fiction

  • Romance

  • Philosophy

We do not accept textbooks or reference books, and we ask that you bring no more than 20 books at a time. Please only bring us books in good condition - no stains, water damage, or mold, or hardcovers missing their dust jackets.

We’ll have you leave your books for a day or so to give us time to look them over, then we’ll contact you. No appointment is necessary!

Ellen is a Blacksburg resident who has settled comfortably into the middle-age trifecta of gardening, cooking, and reading. She's happy to talk about any or all of those things with you.

Almost as soon as she could read, Laurie would spend hours in her small-town library helping to reshelve books. Years later she settled on the obvious choice of being a literature major in college and was drawn to the complex characters in both Russian literature and Flannery O’Connor. Her most favorite genre today is memoirs.
